Friends…

I wanted to take the time to write about a touching experience I had the other day involving one of my good friends.  She too has a blog and chose to write about me of all things in support of my new endeavor (Albany Mommy).  It was amazing to see her support, love and respect that she has for me come through in such a beautiful post on her personal blog. She is one of those friends that has always believed in me and cheered me on in anything I was doing.  Her friendship is as genuine as they come and I am so blessed to have her in my life.  Thank you Stephanie

Friends…they sure do change over time, right?  The ones we had in high school, college and now our adult lives.  Some of us are fortunate enough to maintain some along the way but for the good or the bad, many have come and gone.  I’m sure many of you would agree that the older we get the harder it is to make good friends.  We are all super busy, set in our ways and it’s hard to make the time to make new friends.  BUT…it’s critical that we do.  Friends are the ones that we choose to have in our life.  They are the ones that cheer us on, pick us up when we are down and share experiences with in our journey of life.  We get our laughs, our cries and so much of our knowledge from our friends.  So…on this beautiful day honor your friends.  Get in touch with them, let them know what they mean to you, reminisce about the good times (not implying these are bad times, but different times :)  and remind yourself how lucky you are to have a true friend in your corner.  To all of my friends…I love you and thank you for all of your support along the way!  I hope that I have been as good to you as you have all been to me.  Cheers!

Although it is essential to make new friends throughout your life, I love my old friends! The site looks great. You should be very proud.

    Kristen,

I forgot to mention in my blog that one of the (among so many) things I have learned from you is how to keep a friendship going. No matter how busy (or pregnant or in the hospital or traveling or whatever) you are, you always find time to text me just to say hi. I love you for that. And a bunch of other stuff too.

    Friends forever!!!!!

    :)
