I would like to nominate my mom Carol Coons. My mom helps me out a lot with my kids. She is like their second mom and is always going above and beyond for us. She’s had a really hard time since my dad died last year. She was his caregiver previously when he was hit by a car and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Then. 3 years later he was diagnosed with leukemia. It was a 4 week battle in the hospital where he then passed away. My mom never left his side, was there when he took his last breath, and always made sure that my dad was comfortable and that she educated herself on everything the doctors and nurses said and did. I can’t thank her enough for everything she had done And continues to do. She taught me the true meaning of unconditional love.
