As a new mom, I have many moments that make me melt. Things that I use to do before kids are so different now and so special when you get to share them with these little people that you made. Recently, we were at a parade for the 4th of July with the girls. I was really excited to bring them this year because last year they were so young that they really just hung out in the stroller and only reacted when the firetrucks blew their horns (they didn’t like that btw). So this year my husband and I were SO excited to take them and to see their expressions and reactions to all the commotion. As the parade started and we saw the first floats coming down the street, I got all choked up as I stood there holding Pie and my husband next to me held Buggie. The look of pure amazement on their faces was priceless. I literally had to hold back the tears. The parade continued and Buggie tried to join the parade a few times while Pie was all about bouncing to the marching band. I already can’t wait until next year’s parade to see the look on their faces again. Everyone that has older kids tell me how fast it goes. Don’t miss the opportunity to cherish these moments with your kids.
