New grocery store planned across from Mohawk Commons in Niskayuna
Niskayuna moms will soon have another place to shop come early 2013…Walmart will be opening a “Neighborhood Market” in the newly developed area of Niskayuna.
This market will be much smaller than the typical Walmart stores (40,000 sq feet compared to 150,000 square feet). This smaller concept store will be the first one in New York State and will create 90 jobs.
The market will have a pharmacy and will focus groceries, meats, deli, bakery and smaller consumer items. This store will be across the street from Price Chopper and just a short distance from Shop Rite and Hannaford. Talk about competition!

I hope the new Wal-mart grocery store in Niskayuna NY has alot more organic products than the other Wal-marts here have.
