Let’s face it, once you’re pregnant, your body changes. It doesn’t matter if you were a size 2 or size 14 before your baby bump, it’s difficult for most women to get comfortable with their body again, post baby. (And I’m talking about any amount of time-post baby!)

In my own quest to feel good inside my own skin, I was introduced to My Fitness Pal. My Fitness Pal helps you keep a daily journal of what you put into your body, how much you exercise, and it calculates for you, how much you SHOULD be eating each day. You can log on to the website from your home or office or get the FREE APP for any mobile device, and join the Albany Mommy’s group page within it.
When I first enrolled in My Fitness Pal, I thought no way this was going to work. Wow! What an eye opener for me! You learn how many calories the foods you eat, REALLY are, what an ACTUAL serving size REALLY is, and how to earn extra calories towards snacks and treats throughout the day or week! And the best part???? Besides loosing weight and becoming more comfortable in MY OWN SKIN, I have been traveling through this journey with friends and family.
After you sign up, join the ALBANY MOMMY’s group on My Fitness Pal. Message other moms ggoing through the same journey as you, encourage one another to make healthy eating choices, and to get up and exercise! Let’s encourage one another to be our healthiest, YET!
To join the Albany Mommy group on My Fitness Pal, follow the steps below (looks more complicated than it really is):
Step 1 Go to www.myfitnesspal.com.
Step 2 In the Member Login section of the website, click on the “Not a member yet? Sign up now!” link.
Step 3 Create a username and password for your My Fitness Pal account
Step 4 Enter all of the information for your fitness profile in this section: current weight, desired weight, height, gender, etc.
Step 5 Click on the green “save and continue” bar.
Step 6 Enter email address of friends or family whom you would like to invite to get fit and share this journey with you!
Step 7 Click the green “continue” bar.
Step 8 You will view a page with “Suggested Fitness and Nutritional Goals” page.
Step 9 Click the green bar, “Get Started Now!”.
Step 10 To join the Albany Mommy group and travel through this journey together- Click on the top right tab “COMMUNITY”. And then click on the sub-title tab Groups.
Step 11 In the search bar, type in “Albany Mommy” and then click on the green “SEARCH” tab.
Step 12 Click on the blue words, “Albany Mommy”.
Step 13 Click on the green tab, “Join Group”.
You are now enrolled in the Albany Mommy group on My Fitness Pal. Start tracking your food exercise right away.
