Don't those strawberries look incredible?

They are from Anthony's Chocolate Dipped Fruit in Newton Plaza. He is doing an amazing fundraiser for Breast Cancer and it involves chocolate dipped strawberries. 

Buy 10 delicious goodies for $25 and he will donate $10 of that to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Chocolate and handbags for leukemia

This Friday July 31st there will be a fun event at Professor Java's on Wolf Rd.  From 7pm-9pm you can stop in and check out the Madison handbags & Dove chocolates - like chocolate martini mix, Dove chocolate cupcake mix, and more Dove chocolate goodies that you can't buy in stores- that are available.  Proceeds will benefit Team Leukemia Lymphomia. 

Stop by if you get a chance.  Avoid the traffic as you're heading down Wolf Rd.  Stop by Professor Java's.  Let's see - chocolate and fun or traffic? Tough choice!

Yummy!! Now I have a chocolate craving!!  We ran out of White Chocolate Smoothies yesterday, but I think we'll have to have Java Chip tonight.  I'm trying to cut down on my Starbucks habit and since one box of Dove smoothies is the price of one grande Frappucinno I will be saving HUGE MONEY!!

Weather Outage

Due to the recent storms Albany Mommy is incapacitated for a little while.

Delayed Silly Sunday/Contest with prizes!!

OK, so this is Monday and I am just getting to Silly Sunday...

So, to make up for that, I will do something special.

Last Sunday I posted about looking for Christmas lights.  We are going to have a contest!!!  With a few winners.  Here's the deal.  You need to go looking for Christmas lights. Really, really good lights.

Find a street or neighborhood that has at least 5 houses decorated really well and submit the address to me.  Doesn't have to be your neighborhood or house, just an area you find or know about.  You can submit as many different places as you would like for multiple entries.  The neighborhoods must be in the Latham, Colonie, Albany area however.(And Capital Lights in the Park will not count)

All entries will be judges by an independent group of small children and how well they like/are amused by your submission.  Judging will end on Monday December 22nd, so please submit all entries by then.

I had mentioned drinking nice, hot (nonalcohlic) toddies while driving around looking for lights.  Prizes will be an assortment of drink mixes.  If you have previously read that I am now a Dove Independent Chocolatier you can start imagining how absolutely yummy the prizes will be.  Chocolate chai tea, Dove sipping chocolate, Dove flavored chai teas, Dove Chocolate martini mix, Dove Jave Chip Smoothie mix, & more...

DOVE CHOCOLATE

Did that get your attention?  Are you a chocolate lover?  If you are a chocolate lover like me than you know that Dove means quality, mouth-watering, delicious, delectable chocolates.

I recently found out that Dove chocolates has a division that does home parties.  Yeah, somebody comes to your house, does a chocolate tasting with Dove Chocolates, you taste test incredible specialty Dove chocolates and baking goods that can't be found in stores, and if you really like it(ha ha) - place an order. 

  Imagine sipping chocolate martinis while enjoying some quality girl's time.  Think of all the holiday shopping you can do.  Get presents for teachers, co-workers, relatives, good customers, yourself, and a few for people who you know you'll forget - and do this all while sipping chocolate martinis and sampling chocolate truffle brownies, chocolate mousse, chocolate covered almonds.  Maybe, if you're really lucky, you'll be one of the parties who gets to try the chocolate fondue!!  Imagine all sorts of goodies dipped in and dripping with chocolate....  

Since I love chocolate and think Dove chocolate is awesome I had to check it out, and - drum roll please- I am now the Dove chocolate chick for the area!!  I mean, come on, it's chocolate!!!  Once I found out this existed, I knew it was meant just for me.  I get to have lots of fun with people, party, eat & drink chocolate, and make a little extra money.  How cool is that????
